Maggie Brown

Maggie Brown is essentially a landscape painter, but sometimes likes to challenge herself with a new subject matter.

She has found that ‘still life’ is one such area that can bring nature in from outdoors, and can be combined with a personal or special, handcrafted object. Maggie does this using the same painting techniques that she has used in her landscapes.

With the same energy that she applies to her landscape paintings, she paints and draws with acrylics and oil pastels on top of the already prepared, dried, textured surface, which is a mixture of sand, shavings and glue.
