Julie Leach

Julie Leach is an artist printmaker who works with the elements, primarily the wind, to document the invisible forces of nature. Her interests lie in exploring phenomena of transience, ephemerality and intangibility. By facilitating “nature as artist” she creates drawings, screen prints and etchings that express extraordinary lightness, energy and movement.
Marianthi Lainas

Each piece is created collaboratively with the tidal elements. Out at the strandline, an imprint of the sea is embedded into light-sensitive papers that have been exposed to waves, sand and sediment – the result of a unique set of conditions at one particular moment in time. For this collection, Marianthi has further developed the process by working with nocturnal as well as daytime tides.
Janene Waudby

Janene makes ceramics with organic forms and surfaces, as if her pieces are found objects or have occurred in nature. Work is low fired and glaze is rarely used, leaving the tactile clay surfaces to speak. Janene uses a wide variety of techniques in her work, specially adapted for each series of her work, whether that be tidal shallows, rust, lichen or the earth itself.
Alice Fox

Alice Fox is an artist based in West Yorkshire. Using her textiles-based skill set and techniques from soft basketry, she works with plant fibres and found objects. Alice makes unique sculptural and wall-based works, bringing different materials together to form tactile surfaces and structures.
Ann Goddard

Ann’s mixed media constructions and assemblages have evolved from a life-long interest in the landscape, nature, and concern for the environment. Inspiration comes from researching local and global ecological issues. Current pieces explore the destruction of habitats and loss of biodiversity caused by the impact of wild fires and the deforestation method of slash and burn.
