Amongst the places we visit, a few stand out and overwhelm us, for me Les Alpilles is one such place…”

“I am a figurative painter working in an impressionistic style across acrylic, oil, gouache & pastel mediums. Drawing and painting is a lifelong passion of mine and I enjoy the mix of problem solving and exploring creative possibilities it gives. My artistic inspiration is drawn from many sources – most recently capturing scenes from my travels at home and abroad…”

Kate Buckley

Kate Buckley is a York-based sculptural artist working in coloured porcelain. Her work is rooted in a Japanese aesthetic tradition — quiet, controlled and deeply attentive to light, shadow and negative space. Through a distinctive process of press-moulding onto folded structures, she translates delicate geometry into a permanent medium — a fold fixed in time.
